Eileen M. Baratuci, formerly Eileen M. Lawrence, graduated from the University of Puget Sound, now Seattle University Law School, cum laude, in 1981. She was given the President's Award and scholarship for academic achievement for two years, served as the Business Editor for the Law Review and published an Article called "The State's Interest in Adoption". Since then, she has maintained an active and varied practice, focusing on complex litigation, medical malpractice defense, product liability litigation and employment claims.

Formerly a Senior Partner at Davis Grimm Payne & Marra in Seattle, and a Workplace Investigator for the City of Seattle, she has now relocated her practice to the Olympic Peninsula. She has extensive trial and appellate level experience in state and federal Courts, including U.S. District Court, Eastern and Western Districts of Washington and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. She has also worked on matters pending before the Public Employment Relations Commission, the Equal Employment Opportunities Commission, the Department of Labor and Washington's Employment Securities Commission. She has facilitated successful outcomes for her clients in both litigation and non-litigation settings. She combines her experience and expertise in the area of employment law to provide clients with practical solutions to employment problems. She continues to work with a variety of public and private entities on employment and labor law issues. She also offers services as a independent Arbitrator, Independent Investigator and Mediator.

Eileen has completed extensive training in interest based mediation from the University of Washington in 1996 and in 2008. She has also completed EEOC training in employment mediation. She has served as a neutral arbitrator for King and Pierce Counties for over 18 years.

Eileen has prepared and presented a host of training programs for employees and supervisors. She was selected to be the trainer for the Washington Law Enforcement Academy, focusing on training for Supervisors and Managers. She has presented training on topics such as Workplace Violence Prevention, Anti-discrimination laws, Sexual Harassment Prevention and updates on employment and labor laws for supervisors and managers. Her training programs have consistently been highly rated by attendees for being interactive, informative and providing attendees with clear guidance on complex legal issues.

Eileen is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, Employment Law and Mediation Sections. She was formerly active in Washington Defense Trial Lawyers, serving on the Board of Trustees and as Chair of the Employment Law Committee. She also served on the statewide Liability Reform Coalition. Eileen was asked to serve on an ongoing basis for the committee to formulate and update Washington's first set of Pattern Jury Instructions for Employment law claims.

She has also been active in the community throughout her practice. She has served as a Board Member for the Covington Chamber of Commerce and on the Greater Maple Valley Community Center. She formerly served as a member of the long range planning committee for the school board.

Eileen has been asked to speak at various State and Regional Conferences on a variety of employment and labor law topics. This includes the Washington State Transit Pool Regional Conference, Association of Washington Cities Annual Conference, ACUC Labor & Employment Law Conference, Municipal Clerks Association Annual Conference, Washington Defense Trial Lawyers Annual Conference, Mediation & Arbitration Regional Conference, and Washington State Trial Lawyers Update on Employment Law.
